Essential Job Duties

BambooHR is looking for a Sr. Technical Program Manager who is ready to spearhead innovative projects that shape the future of technology Program Managers at BambooHR play a critical role in driving the planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of technical initiatives across Engineering, IT, and Security departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong program management background with proven leadership skills, and a passion for driving continuous improvement.

You will

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define program scope, goals, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Develop detailed program plans, including schedules, resource allocation, budget estimates, and risk assessments.
  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure technical requirements are accurately captured, tracked, and met throughout program life cycles.
  • Identify and manage program dependencies, critical path, and potential bottlenecks, while making adjustments as necessary to ensure project success.
  • Proactively mitigate program risks and issues, developing contingency plans and providing timely resolutions to maintain project momentum.
  • Monitor program performance metrics and KPIs, producing status reports for key stakeholders and executive leaders.
  • Coach and mentor program teams, providing guidance on project management best practices and driving continuous improvement.
  • Foster a collaborative environment, encouraging cross-functional teamwork, knowledge sharing, and effective communication.

What You Need to Get the Job Done

  • Strong executive-level communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey program status, updates, and risks to key stakeholders and leadership.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and software (e.g., Agile, Scrum, JIRA, Wrike).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • 8+ years of proven experience in program management, with a track record of successfully managing multiple technical initiatives simultaneously.
