REPORTS TO: Food Safety Manager

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

LOCATION: Raleigh, NC

SUMMARY: Supports the company by ensuring rigorous compliance within both internal and external supply chains. They coordinate, collect, and manage documentation essential for regulatory adherence, contributing to the company's commitment to maintaining operational excellence and regulatory integrity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Obtain and manage approval documentation for growers, suppliers, and vendors
  • Facilitate internal and external communication regarding compliance matters
  • Maintain documentation in external databases like Azzule and SharePoint
  • Schedule Food Safety Audits and ensure compliance with deadlines
  • Generate compliance performance reports for review
  • Record and track test results, audit findings, and other relevant reports
  • Assist in assessing and addressing customer complaints
  • Oversee operations support efforts for food and worker safety programs
  • Participate in developing, revising, and updating safety documentation
  • Monitor and support various Food Safety Program activities, including micro-testing, environmental testing, HACCP, and sanitation procedures
  • Address any updates regarding food safety during monthly safety meetings

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Bilingual, biliterate in English and Spanish preferred
  • Strong organization, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of related Federal and State regulations is a plus

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Food Safety work experience preferred Experience with Compliance Systems preferred
  • Experience with regulatory food compliance preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Dynamic and fast-paced office environment


8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
