Accountant - Non-Profit (Hybrid Role)

Position Details
Provide high quality financial support and expertise to mid-sized nonprofit behavioral health agency. Our finance team is instrumental in ensuring that program and agency leaders have the financial tools available to ensure data driven planning and decision making.
Primary responsibilities include account reconciliations, financial reporting, funder expense tracking, billings for reimbursement from contractual agencies/funding sources, timely external reports for our diverse funders, budgets for funders, funder financial reviews, assist in month end close, journal entries, financial statements, and assist with annual financial statement audit and annual budgeting process. This position also partners with other accountants, senior accountants, financial managers and CFO in implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures. Position has potential for internal growth and advancement and is eligible for remote, in-person or hybrid work.

Position Requirements
- Michigan resident
- Bachelors Degree in accounting
- 2-3 years of accounting experience
- Proficiency in Excel
- Experience with G/L systems
- Ability to work within / meet strict external deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience in non-profit setting strongly preferred
- Experience with Mas100 preferred
- Desire to support the Arbor Circle's Mission and Values by providing finance support to the programs and agency.
