CASA’s mission is to create a more just society by building power and improving the quality of life in working-class: Black, Latino/a/e, Afro-descendent, Indigenous, and Immigrant Communities. Our vision is rooted in the collective power of our community, our inclusive, permanent, member-led movement radically transforms communities and systems to ensure the needs, dreams, and aspirations of members are fully met as we strive for justice and full liberation at home and in solidarity with others across the world. CASA has a sister organization, CASA in Action, a separate but related nonprofit organization exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code. Although CASA and CASA in Action share a common goal of supporting immigrants and low-income people in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Georgia, they are separate organizations with their own board of directors. A set of employees at the two organizations, including the person filling this position, shares their time between the two organizations. This has no effect on salary or benefits.
DEPARTMENT SYNOPSIS:
The Elections Department oversees elections, nonpartisan voter accountability advocacy, and voter registration across our four states. The department is tasked with developing and implementing voter engagement strategies in partnership with all departments to build long-term electoral power in working-class: Black, Latino/a/e, Afro-descendent, Indigenous, and Immigrant communities.
POSITION SUMMARY:
CASA in Action seeks a proactive, well-organized, and analytical individual to lead the implementation of our quality management processes. The Quality Management Coordinator will work with the Georgia Canvass Operation Manager to help manage the quality management systems, execute the quality management program plan, and analyze ground operations reported program data.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about quality assurance and supporting team development in voter engagement best practices. They have a proven ability to network and communicate information to others effectively, are committed to getting results in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing input or quality, and demonstrate a deep commitment to racial equity.
The Quality Management Coordinator, based in Atlanta, Georgia, reports to the Georgia Canvass Operation Manager.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Quality Management Systems
- Execute quality management processes to track the quality of canvasser conversations with voters and progress to campaign goals,
- Contact canvassed voters to evaluate the quality of canvasser engagements and track constructive feedback,
- Examine program data and document irregularities and underperformance,
- Generate and manage canvassing and phonebank lists using updated scripts,
- Add new voter list information to program workbooks as they are generated.
Program Data Reporting
- Prepare daily team performance reports and share them with ground team leads,
- Report newly identified member pipelines to CASA/CASA in Action’s to organizing team,
- Analyze canvasser ground report entries and communicate critical feedback to the Georgia Canvass Operation Manager,
- Other duties as assigned by the Georgia Canvass Operation Manager.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
We’re seeking candidates who excel in relationship-building, are results-oriented, and have strong communication skills. You should have:
- Ability to perform all of the duties outlined above,
- A valid US Driver’s License and own car, preferred,
- Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends,
- Experience working with immigrant or low-income communities a plus,
- Ability to work with a team and independently,
- Exude high energy in a fast-paced environment,
- A demonstrated commitment to meeting a high bar, being timely, and a history of getting things done even in the face of obstacles,
- Excellent writing and conversational skills,
- Proficiency in data entry tasks,
- Experience working with the voter file database, VAN,
- Experience working with data visualization and tabulation tools (Excel and/or Google Sheets),
- Attention to detail to ensure all work is polished, accurate, and precise,
- Fluency in Spanish preferred, and
- Commitment to social change and to furthering CASA in Action’s mission of building power in low-income and immigrant communities by integrating and engaging them in the political process.
