Remote position covers the TX territory. Ideal candidate located near Houston or Austin area. Houston candidates would by hybrid.

Key Functions

Research, identify, and complete the sales cycle with potential referral customers to establish an active referral relationship with Menninger.

  1. Identifies new referral customers and collects information to assist in qualifying the referral potential of each customer.
  2. Works with current referral customers to continually qualify referral potential of each customer.
  3. Completes pre-call planning and establishes an agenda for sales calls.
  4. Transitions referral customer accounts and activities within the department as needed.

Schedule and conduct sales meetings with identified customers; prepare required reports; and maintain appropriate files.

  1. Moves customers successfully through the sales cycle that results in an active referral relationship with Menninger.
  2. Completes periodic reports as requested.
  3. Updates Customer Relationship Management system (Salesforce) within one week of interactions.
  4. Completes department forms for projects as needed.

Create a sales strategy and plans for Menninger services; collaborate with other Menninger staff members regarding sales plans and activities. Schedule meetings and other activities with Menninger staff and coordinate necessary arrangements.

  1. Collects information from internal and external sources to contribute to marketing plan and census forecast.
  2. Participate in team meetings with other Menninger staff to build relationships with marketing and clinical staff and ensure service knowledge is current; participate in periodic visits to the Clinic.
  3. Schedules time and place; communicates with referral customers and clinicians about specifics of activity; and ensures that activities will assist in generating referrals to Menninger.

Participate in business development team meetings to share information, concerns, progress, goals, and assignments.

  1. Attends and participates in all department meetings by contributing to items on the agenda, role playing, and sharing market updates.
  2. Provides to members of the team any important information about referral customers

Attend local, regional, and national meetings to represent Menninger in a marketing capacity.

  1. Completes the necessary paperwork in a timely manner to ensure any discounts that benefit Menninger in the registration process are achieved.
  2. Contacts any clinicians that are attending the conference to ensure appropriate marketing support and to coordinate booth time.
  3. Identifies current and potential referral customers that are attending the conference and completes pre-call planning for these customers.
  4. Orders the appropriate marketing information to be shipped in a timely fashion.
  5. Arranges for travel and lodging within organization guidelines.
  6. Staffs the booth during exhibit hall hours of the conference.
  7. Follows-up with referral customers that attended the conference within 10 business days of end of conference.

Assist the department leader with development and implementation of department policies and procedures to assure fiscal integrity, and effective utilization of resources. This includes participating in the planning and maintaining of the budget.

  1. Provides input in the preparation of the yearly budget.
  2. Manages annual business development budget for assigned territory.
  3. Quarterly reviews the budget with the Director and other Sr. Business Development Representative(s).

Assist the Department leadership with the development and implementation of business development goals, strategies, and action plans to respond to market trends and demands; and to promote success for all clinical programs.

  1. Identifies concerns/issues effecting census (negative and positive).
  2. Develops action plan(s) to assist in increasing census.
  3. Regularly reports to leadership about progress in completion of action plans.
  4. Remains educated and informed with respect to the market position of the Clinic.
  5. Makes recommendations with respect to the development of new programs or services which will be profitable for the Clinic.

Provides assistance as needed in the following areas:

  1. Assists in recruiting highly quality professional staff for the department and the Clinic by maintaining national peer network.
  2. Provides leadership coverage for the department when Director is unavailable.
  3. Accurately represents the goals and activities of the department both internally and externally.

Complete other duties as requested.

  1. Accepts additional assignments willingly.
  2. Demonstrates an ability to perform a variety of duties, maintains flexibility as referral customers needs change.
  3. Demonstrates an ability to respond to changing work loads and crisis and emergency situations.

Education:

Required: Bachelor’s degree

Experience:

Required: Five years marketing experience within the health care industry, preferably in the psychiatric or mental health field
