Video Editor Intern

Spence-Chapin is a non-profit organization based in New York City that has been providing adoption services and adoption support for more than 110 years. Spence-Chapin is newly licensed in Arizona. Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize, plan, and storyboard video projects that align with Spence-Chapin's mission and goals.
- Edit raw footage using industry-standard editing software to produce high-quality videos for various platforms, including social media, website, and promotional materials.
- Incorporate text animations, motion graphics, and visual effects to enhance storytelling and convey key messages, statistics, and emotional narratives
- Ensure that all video content meets branding guidelines and reflects the values and messaging of Spence-Chapin.
- Collaborate with marketing team to gather feedback and make revisions to video projects as needed.
- Assist with other communications and marketing initiatives as assigned.
- If in New York City, film video content, including interviews, events, and documentary-style footage.
- Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program, such as film production, media studies, communications, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar programs.
- Demonstrated experience in filming and editing video content, with a portfolio or reel showcasing previous work.
- Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling, visual communication, and text animation.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of adoption-related issues and/or experience working with nonprofits is a plus.
- Availability to work a minimum of 7-15 hours per week during the internship period.
