Job Summary:

Leading and editing video deliverables that are on brief and on brand. This includes editing to storyboards, sketches, comps and style frames. The video editor will be responsible for editing digital video content for use on all digital platforms.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that look and feel of video content is always in line with overall brand aesthetic.
  • Edit short and long format video content for digital platforms. Create cut-downs and versions, as needed.
  • Converting rough ideas into visual prototypes for creative review.
  • Contributing to collaborative brainstorms and concept development.
  • Export videos to various file formats, weights; re-edit, as needed, for unique dimensions and sizes.
  • Some color correcting and retouching of video content.
  • Edit audio and sound mix.
  • Maintain backed-up and well-organized video archive.
  • Implement rounds of feedback from creative team and brand partners.
  • Assist on video shoots, as needed.
  • Stay on the forefront of video editing technology, trends and best practices.

Working Relationships/Key Stakeholders:

  • Internal creative team
  • Working on set to ensure content is captured optimally for post-production from a digital specific area of expertise

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • 4+ years work experience as a video editor.
  • Expert working knowledge of all key video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, After Effects, etc.).
  • Experience with product-focused, luxury/fashion/advertising preferred.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace without sacrificing overall quality.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects & meet deadlines.
  • Team player and self-manager with a strong sense of ownership who is comfortable leading a team.
