We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our client's manufacturing company permanently. The ideal candidate will thrive independently and, in a team, have a strong background in accounting principles, financial analysis, and cost accounting within a manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities:

  • Manage the month-end closing process, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and analyzing variances.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely recording of manufacturing costs and inventory valuations.
  • Review and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, providing insights on areas for improvement and cost optimization.
  • Conduct financial analysis and present findings to stakeholders, including identifying areas of risk and recommending appropriate actions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors, providing necessary documentation and support during audits.
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process, providing guidance on cost drivers, revenue projections, and financial goals.
  • Support senior leadership in strategic decision-making, providing financial insights and recommendations to drive business growth and profitability.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with a focus on manufacturing operations.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience with financial statement preparation and analysis.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and ERP systems, with moderate Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in cost accounting and inventory management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
