About this specific role:

This role will work with all SCI programs and staff. The role will focus on SCI’s social media presence and engage with the community. This internship will also be responsible for content creation and marketing of events and SCI programs.

What does “a day in the life” of this role look like? Some things you’ll be doing include:

  • Manage and create content for SCI’s social media presence (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
  • Collaborate with other departments (Studer Family of Companies entities) and contracted parties (Marketing companies) for the creation of event print materials and media.
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to ensure partner contracts and benefits are fulfilled.
  • Create content for promotional materials for training courses, workshops, EntreCon, Light Up Learing and Building Brains programs
  • Leverage marketing opportunities to promote ticket sales and event attendance.
  • Design email campaigns for Building Jobs and Building Brains programs.
  • Use program management tools to effectively plan the yearly event and media calendars.

RequirementsKnowledge and competencies required:
  • Experience with social media and leveraging marketing opportunities
  • Tech and computer savvy with proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Constant Contact, Survey Monkey, Canva
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including experience working with external clients

Education and experience:

Position type and working hours:

This is an internship. Days, hours and length of role will be based upon needs and set with SCI’s Executive Director.
