POSITION OVERVIEW:The Senior Buyer will manage the procurement process for materials, parts, and services vital to the revamp, repair, and maintenance of turbomachinery. This role involves strategically sourcing new suppliers, skillfully negotiating contracts, and purchasing products and services used in our operations or for resale. The position requires substantial coordination with internal teams and suppliers to ensure efficient operations and optimal supply chain performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Supplier Relationship Management: Identify, evaluate, and qualify, onboard suppliers that meet the high-quality standards required for turbomachinery revamp, repair, and maintenance. Develop and sustain strong supplier relationships to enhance supply chain reliability and efficiency.
2. Strategic Sourcing: Lead sourcing activities to find and qualify new suppliers. Use market analysis, supplier audits, and industry best practices to identify potential suppliers who can meet our quality, reliability, and cost needs.
3. Advanced Procurement and Negotiation: Formulate and execute procurement strategies to acquire materials, spare parts, and services needed for turbomachinery revamp, maintenance, and repair. Negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and prices with suppliers, focusing on leveraging volume and strategic partnerships to achieve cost-effective procurement.
4. Cost Negotiation and Optimization: Utilize advanced negotiation skills to secure the best possible prices and terms with suppliers. Perform regular cost reviews and develop strategies to minimize expenses without compromising quality.
5. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure that all purchased materials and components meet stringent turbomachinery revamp, maintenance, and repair standards. Quickly address and resolve any supplier quality issues.
6. Supply Chain Coordination: Work with logistics and operations teams to guarantee timely delivery of materials and parts for repair projects. Manage inventory levels to prevent shortages and excess stock.
