Job Summary:

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing a variety of warehouse tasks at the Distribution Center. This role ensures efficient handling, processing, and shipping of manufacturing materials and finished products, maintaining overall warehouse organization. The Warehouse Associate reports to the Distribution Center Manager.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Process and ship all orders using the Warehouse Management System (WMS) as required and instructed.
  • Offload incoming materials and components as directed by the Distribution Center Manager.
  • Sort and verify items on pallets to ensure accuracy and prevent mix-ups.
  • Assist in labeling and pallet wrapping for Truckload (TL) and Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) shipments.
  • Help load TL and LTL shipments.
  • Perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Conduct Quality Control checks on incoming materials and outgoing products as instructed.
  • Participate in the year-end physical inventory count.
  • Maintain high levels of housekeeping to ensure a safe and organized workspace.
  • Quickly identify and solve problems to improve workflow efficiency.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing needs.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions.

 

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Previous experience in warehouse operations preferred.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 25+ pounds regularly and maneuver heavier items using appropriate equipment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods in a warehouse environment.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch as required.
  • Work involves exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels typical of a warehouse setting.
  • Requires the ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Must adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
