The associate is responsible for ensuring that inventory is managed effectively, thereby facilitating seamless warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Unloading: Efficiently unload products from delivery vehicles using suitable equipment, including forklifts or pallet jacks.
  • Sorting and Organizing: Systematically sort and arrange items according to the warehouse layout and inventory systems, ensuring that all goods are stored in their designated areas.
  • Loading: Assist in loading products onto transport vehicles for distribution.
  • Inventory Control: Verify and check incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, inspecting for any damages or discrepancies.
  • Packing and Labeling: Prepare and label items for storage or shipment, adhering to specific guidelines and ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, reporting any maintenance needs or safety concerns to supervisors.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe operation of machinery.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with fellow warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and address any challenges that may arise.
  • Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of inventory, shipments, and other pertinent data.

Qualifications:

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and transport heavy items, remain standing for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on detail for the precise handling, sorting, and documentation of products.
  • Basic Math Skills: Fundamental arithmetic skills for managing inventory counts and measurements.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or similar capacity is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Certifications: Forklift certification or other relevant credentials may be required or preferred, depending on the employer.
