Custom Mill Shop- looking for experienced woodworkers

Full-time, Monday through Friday 7:00 - 3:30, excellent benefits, clean and organized shop

The Company:

Tague Lumber has been in business since 1908.

Custom millwork for residential and commercial projects

The Position:

We are looking for quality-minded woodworkers to cut, shape, assemble, and make parts for wood products. We also design and create customized products. This is a shop floor position that will entail working on a diverse set of challenging projects.

The Requirements:

  • Ability to measure and cut material to efficiently manufacture products to project specifications
  • Experience in setting up woodworking equipment operations including planer/jointer, shaper, table saw, band saw, etc.
  • Read plans and cut list

Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Minimum of 3 -5 years previous experience in a millwork shop, carpentry shop, and/or working knowledge of woodworking
  • Technical School training is preferred
  • Knowledge of materials and equipment used in custom millwork fabrication
  • Sound technical skills and ability to fix problems with any type of machinery
  • Knowledge of maintaining and upgrading different machines
  • Ability to work with schematics and comprehend complex technical instructions and blueprints
  • Good command over CAD and CAM technologies
  • Experience using power tools is a plus
  • Ability to work for extended hours
  • Use good judgment and common sense
  • Be willing to work overtime if needed

Machines/Tools/Equipment

  • Operate mill / doorshop machinery, power saws,

Working Conditions

  • Woodworking mill / Doorshop environment involving lifting above the shoulder, walking, bending, standing, and carrying of product, heavy lifting required, exposure to very hot and cold weather.
