Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively as a member of a production team to achieve productivity goals and minimize downtime.
  • Assume an active role in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment, adhering to company safety protocols and procedures.
  • Ensure all shop areas, tools, and equipment are properly maintained and organized in accordance with Lean/5S standards.
  • Follow a production schedule and maintain open communication with the shop Foreman to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Identify and address production lulls, providing support to teammates as needed.
  • Receive and execute tasks and instructions issued by the Foreman.
  • Participate in ongoing process improvements through Lean/5S initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive peer relationships.
  • Ability to think creatively and offer solutions to process improvements.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Pass a background check.
  • Basic knowledge of common hand tools and pneumatic tools.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and understand fractions.

Working Conditions:

The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced woodworking mill/door shop environment, involving lifting above the shoulder, walking, bending, standing, and carrying of product. Heavy lifting is required, and the individual must be able to work in very hot and cold weather conditions.
