Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively as a member of a production team to achieve productivity goals, minimize downtime, and eliminate waste.
  • Assume an active role in supporting the facility's operations and contribute to a goal-oriented mindset.
  • Adhere to all company and location safety protocols, including lock-out tag-out procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to Lean/5S standards.
  • Follow a production schedule and maintain open communication with the shop Foreman.
  • Identify and address production lulls, providing support to teammates as needed.
  • Receive and execute tasks and instructions issued by the Foreman.
  • Participate in ongoing improvement initiatives through Lean/5S.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and offer solutions to process improvements.
  • Strong peer-to-peer relationships and a willingness to support the team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Pass a background check.
  • Basic knowledge of common hand tools and pneumatic tools.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and understand fractions.
  • Effective time management and production goals mindset.

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a woodworking mill/door shop environment, which may require lifting above the shoulder, walking, bending, standing, and carrying of products. Heavy lifting is required, and the individual may be exposed to varying temperatures.
