Production Senior Team Lead

Job Overview:
Generally expected to work as a valued member of the XL Specialized Trailers manufacturing team in support of the Production Supervisor. Manufactures products by coaching staff; organizing and monitoring work flow; acts as a quality inspector; serves as a safety coordinator, material handler and trainer for area of responsibility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Spends 50% of their time in direct labor in area of responsibility.
- Safety: Identifies and anticipates safety and health concerns and hazards by surveying environmental, operational, and occupational conditions.
- Quality Assurance: acts as the quality inspector for areas of responsibility; maintains quality of service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
- Material handling: Ensures that all direct and indirect materials are readily available for production team members to carry out their duties efficiently and effectively.
- Training: Encourages production team members by helping to select, orient, and train employees; developing personal growth opportunities for team members.
- High Performance Team Board: Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answer questions and responding to requests. Supports the HPT process.
- Communication: Accomplishes production team results by communicating job expectations; planning monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and training employees; initiating, coordinating and ensuring policies, and procedures are followed.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Wears proper personal protective equipment.
- Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing relating results as needed.
Ancillary Duties:
- Assist with the continuous process improvement of XL Specialized Trailers by leading and participating in projects such as lean, 5-S and Kaizen..
- Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall operations of the XL Specialized Trailers.

None
Supervision Received:
Works under direct supervision. The employee is responsible for carrying out the assignment, keeping their supervisor informed of progress and potential problems or future implications.

Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Associates degree required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Three years manufacturing experience.
Essential Skills and Experience:

Physical Demands:

Work Environment:
Work is primarily performed indoors in production facility.
