The Talent Mine is recruiting for a Sr. Material Review Board Design/Liaison Engineer for an immediate contract to hire role. This is with a very well known / reputed player in the aerospace industry, and they are hiring due to a push to deliver on a new R&D project

If you are the kind of Material Review Board Design/Liaison Engineer that has a passion for best practices and space exploration, read on

Responsibilities:

Document non-conformance tags for spacecraft structures
Analyze variations to part print specifications which effect part form, fit, and function
Evaluate and provide a course of action regarding the ultimate disposition of the parts
Evaluates areas of non-conformance regarding defects arising during the manufacturing process and as compared to the product definition requirements as defined by the drawings
Perform design engineering analysis of discrepant machined parts manufactured in an aerospace manufacturing facility
For example, it may be used “as-is” with no corrective action, reworked to a condition that is acceptable for use, repaired, or scrapped
This analysis will include performing tolerance stacks, stress, metallurgical, aerodynamic, dynamic, NDT, and heat transfer analysis

Qualifications:

Minimum of a B.S. Degree in mechanical, aerospace or civil engineering
6+ years of experience with aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicle.
Desired:

Previous experience with new aircraft or spacecraft fabrication
Previous experience with aircraft MRO
