Director of Transaction Advisory
ONWARD Headhunting is partnering with a client in Chicago, IL, in its search for a seasoned Director of Transaction Advisory. This leadership position plays a crucial role in steering the firm's transaction advisory services towards sustained growth and success. The Director will be responsible for shaping the strategic direction of the advisory services, leading high-profile M&A transactions, and building deep relationships with clients. With a focus on delivering exceptional advisory services, the Director will leverage their extensive experience in financial analysis, due diligence, and strategic consulting to guide clients through complex transactions. This role is an excellent opportunity for a visionary leader with a track record of success in transaction advisory to contribute to the firm's expansion and to mentor the next generation of advisory professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the transaction advisory services department, setting strategic goals and ensuring alignment with the firms overall objectives.
- Direct complex M&A transactions, overseeing due diligence processes, financial analysis, and advisory services to maximize client value.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing bespoke advisory solutions.
- Drive business development initiatives, identifying new opportunities and enhancing the firm's market position.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality advisory services, upholding the firms reputation for excellence.
- Mentor and develop a team of transaction advisory professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide integrated solutions to clients, enhancing the value and impact of advisory services.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decisions and service offerings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field, with an MBA, CPA, or CFA considered a strong asset.
- At least 8 years of experience in transaction advisory, investment banking, or a related field, with a proven track record in leading transactions.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities, with the ability to advise on complex transactional issues.
- Excellent relationship-building skills, with a history of developing and maintaining productive client relationships.
- Deep understanding of financial modeling, due diligence, and market analysis.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Proven ability to drive business growth through strategic initiatives and business development efforts.
