Position Overview:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a retail pool and hot tub water care and parts technician. As part of our retail team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service, offering expert advice on water care for pools and hot tubs, and assisting customers in finding the right parts and accessories for their aquatic needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers promptly and courteously.
  • Offer expert advice and guidance on water care for pools and hot tubs, including chemical treatments, maintenance schedules, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist customers in selecting the appropriate parts, accessories, and supplies for their pool and hot tub maintenance needs.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system.
  • Maintain a clean and organized retail environment, including shelves, displays, and product storage areas.
  • Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, industry trends, and best practices related to pool and hot tub maintenance.
  • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and provide support as needed in other areas of the store.
  • Perform regular inventory counts and assist in restocking shelves and receiving shipments.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, your colleagues, and our customers.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in retail sales, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of pool and hot tub water care, including familiarity with chemicals, filtration systems, and maintenance procedures is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills and proficiency in using a computerized point-of-sale system.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a passion for providing outstanding customer service.
