THE BASICS

Schedule: This human services position works full-time hours, with flexibility to accommodate program needs.

YOUR DAY AS CRISIS INTERVENTIONIST

As a Crisis Interventionist, you'll start by ensuring immediate response to behavioral health crises, swiftly assessing individuals' needs, and guiding them toward the appropriate level of care. Throughout the day, you'll communicate effectively within our team environment, collaborating to meet the needs of those experiencing crises. Your compassionate nature will shine as you provide brief therapeutic interventions and essential follow-up support to individuals engaged with our Mobile Crisis Response Team. You'll also complete screenings, assessments, and other necessary clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Your role extends beyond immediate crisis response as you assist clients in transitioning to other levels of service and connect families with community resources. Throughout, you'll work across departments, contributing to suicide prevention practices and offering after-hours crisis collaboration as needed.


REQUIREMENTS FOR CRISIS INTERVENTIONIST

  • Bachelor's Degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related human service field
  • A valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional engagement skills
  • Willingness and ability to be flexible with your schedule as needed
  • Ability to provide diagnostic, preventive, or therapeutic services

Previous mobile crisis response experience is preferred.
