Merchandising Assistant

R2Net is a diamond bridal jewelry company with a technology soul. R2Net Inc. is an innovative technology company that provides e-commerce and supply chain platforms to connect the entire span of the diamond industry’s ecosystem, including manufacturers, retailers, and consumers.

The Merchandising Assistant is also responsible for providing operational support to our merchandising team. The position requires strong organizational skills. Fundamental requirements include the ability to collaborate, take ownership of your work, and achieve results.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain product database through initial style entry, and continual updates.
  • Assist and support the merchandising team with all prep work for marketing meetings and presentations.
  • Support team in owning the sample management process, including obtaining samples delivered to the building, accurately signing samples in and out, and deliver samples to internal clients.
  • Establish strong communication through multiple channels on the lifecycle of samples and supporting the deadlines of products.
  • Research competition and broader industry to better understand the larger jewelry market and keep team abreast of trends.
  • Performing ad-hoc administrative duties.

Requirements

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree with 0-2 years prior experience in merchandising or buying preferred
  • Pursue everything with energy, and driven to learn and collaborate
  • Presents new ideas and contributes value to brain storming sessions
  • Comfort with the uncomfortable; ability to navigate through ambiguity
  • Excellent organizational skills and excel skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Base pay $21.00 - $26.00 per hour. Final pay rate shall be determined and is based on experience and qualifications.
