Compensation range is from $67,000 to $82,000 per year.

Compensation will be dependent upon geographic region, education, and experience

Job Description

The CA Virtual Primary Therapist works in a dynamic multidisciplinary team providing treatment services according to the Discovery Clinical Model. Therapist responsibilities include ensuring patient safety, providing milieu interventions, leading psychoeducational and process-oriented therapy groups, facilitate clinical assessments, conduct individual and family therapy sessions, and other case management tasks, as assigned.

Responsibilities: 

  • Ensures clinical documentation is completed timely throughout the course of treatment (Group notes completed by end of day, session notes completed within 48 hours, treatment plans and provider calls due within 72 hours of admission, etc).
  • Establish therapeutic rapport with patients and families/loved ones.
  • Carries a case load of 8-10 patients in a new adult IOP evening track withing DMAP CA virtual program.
  • Facilitates admission assessments and the admission process for new patients with professionalism, courtesy, and a welcoming attitude.
  • Understands role in providing expeditious access to care for individuals seeking services.
  • Participates in weekly treatment team and communicates weekly treatment goals with all team members.
  • Completes appropriate number of therapy sessions weekly for patients, including family/support system sessions aligned with the patients’ level of care (1 session per week for IOP).
  • Facilitates process orientated and psychoeducation groups 2-4 times daily in IOP.
  • Effectively manages crises in sessions and the milieu.
  • Works collaboratively with the entire treatment team and milieu staff to always ensure the highest level of clinical quality.
  • Efficiently update program excel sheet census trackers for every patient assigned to your caseload and communicate via Outlook Teams chat updates on caseload as needed.

This is a full-time virtual position working Mon-Fri 1pm-9pm.

We currently provide services via Zoom to patients across California. We have a morning adult track, an afternoon adult track, and an after school adolescent track. We aim to hire to support opening up an adult evening IOP track with this position. 

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in relevant field, required
  • Completion of state requirements and state license to conduct therapeutic interventions required (if associate level, supervision will be provided).
  • Must possess a current driver’s license and be in good standing
