Golden Rain Foundation (GRF) at Leisure World, Seal Beach is seeking a full-time entry level Service Maintenance Clerk to assist in facilitating Service Maintenance requests from Leisure World Seal Beach (LWSB) shareholders/members, and GRF employees while providing stellar customer service.
Who we are:
LWSB is the nation's first major planned retirement community. The community is spread over 542 park-like acres which offers resort style living with all the amenities of small-town living. LWSB has over 6,000 units and over 9,000 shareholders (residents) totaling about one-third of the city of Seal Beach’s total population. GRF has been serving the needs of this community since its inception.
Additionally, our Service Maintenance Department performs maintenance on Trust Property and Mutual Corporations’ property.
Work Schedule, Compensation, and Benefits:
- Full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position
- 40-hour work week and your working hours are Monday – Friday 8am to 4:30pm
- 100% onsite
- Pay range for this position is $20.27 to $27.76 per hour
- Benefit eligibility begins on the first of the month after successfully completing 30 days of employment and includes Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, FSA, 401(k), Pet Insurance and more
- Generous time off package to include CA Sick & Safe, GRF Sick Leave, Vacation accrual that starts on your first day as well as a Floating Holiday that is awarded on January 1st of each year
- 10 paid holidays per year
What you will be doing:
- Answers telephones, e-mails, and records maintenance requests on Service Repair Orders (SROs). Gives urgent service orders to Dispatcher immediately.
- Records SROs on log sheets.
- Writes SROs for refrigerator deliveries, oven and stovetop repairs, and replacements; maintains records of the transactions.
- Writes SROs for orders arising from fire inspections.
- Makes account corrections on SROs; posts completed orders on job completion log; files and distributes copies as required.
- Prepares a monthly statement of calls completed by pest control service, forwards to Physical Property office.
- Notifies trash collection company regarding missed trash pickups and additional service needs.
- Contacts Mutual Directors for approval of repair or replacement of washers and dryers.
- Records reports of streetlights and walk lights needing a replacement; posts light bulb replacements on the statement to the Mutuals.
- Types reports, statements, and other documents.
- Responds to and transmits radio calls.
