General Responsibilities include:

  • Field maintenance and lining
  • Daily maintenance and upkeep of Athletic Facilities
  • Game day preparations of facilities -including all set ups and breakdowns
  • Game day facilitator for spectators, visiting teams and officials
  • Refilling and moving water coolers on a daily basis
  • Assist with uniform distribution, collection and inventory
  • Maintenance, cleaning, inventory and upkeep for all departmental and sport specific equipment
  • Earn and maintain Turf Pest Control/Registered Tech Certification
  • Maintenance, cleaning, inventory and upkeep for all departmental and sport specific equipment
  • Scoreboard testing and setup
  • As needed, serve on School committees, as an interscholastic coach, in advisory, or student facing supervisory functions to support a positive student experience
  • Other duties as assigned

Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications and competencies:

  • Ability to maintain productive relationships with School faculty and staff
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Valid Virginia drivers license with driving record that meets acceptable driving standards as determined by the School
  • Ability to maintain accurate records
  • Willing to step in and help as needed, be adaptable and respond to a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of and use of technology to communicate with athletic directors, co-workers, and coaches when necessary
  • Adherence to all personnel policies, procedures, and rules continued in the Faculty/Staff Handbook
  • Experience in and commitment to the ongoing development and maintenance of an inclusive campus community
  • Experience preferred
  • Must be able to lift, lower, carry, push and pull objects up to 50 lbs unassisted.
  • Must be able to stand, climb, bend, stoop and crouch for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to move across campus unassisted.
  • May be subjected to extreme heat and cold temperatures.
  • Will be subjected to motor and/or machine noise.
