Job Description: Roofing Sales Canvasser

Reports To: Director of Residential Sales

Classification: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

General Description:

As a Roofing Sales Canvasser, your primary responsibility is to generate leads and secure potential customers for roofing services. You will be actively involved in prospecting, engaging with homeowners or businesses, and promoting the company's roofing solutions. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a proactive attitude, and a strong ability to build relationships with potential clients.

Duties:

Lead Generation:

  • Conduct door-to-door canvassing to identify and approach potential customers.
  • Utilize marketing materials and product knowledge to effectively communicate the benefits of the company's roofing services.
  • Implement strategies to generate qualified leads and appointments for the sales team.Proactively identifying and contacting potential customers.

Customer Interaction:

  • Engage with homeowners and businesses to understand their roofing needs and concerns.
  • Provide information on roofing products, services, and solutions offered by the company.
  • Address customer questions, concerns, and objections professionally and knowledgeably.

Relationship Building:

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with potential clients.
  • Gather and record customer information for follow-up by the sales team.
  • Build rapport and trust to create a favorable impression of the company's services.

Product Knowledge:

  • Stay updated on the latest roofing products, materials, and industry trends.
  • Communicate the unique selling points and advantages of the company's roofing solutions.

Collaboration with Sales Team:

  • Coordinate with the sales team to schedule appointments and ensure a smooth handover of leads.
  • Provide insights and feedback from the field to help improve sales strategies.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of interactions, leads generated, and appointments scheduled.
  • Prepare regular reports on canvassing activities and results.

Targets and Quotas:

  • Work towards achieving or exceeding set targets and quotas for lead generation and appointments. Complete other duties at the discretion of management

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; some college education may be preferred.

  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Comfortable working outdoors and in various weather conditions.
  • Basic computer skills for maintaining records and using CRM tools.
  • Valid driver's license

Pay & Benefits

  • Company Vehicle Provided (must be 21)
  • $18 - 25/hr plus spiffs
  • Weekly Pay
  • up to $60,000 annual spiff potential on top of base income
