Global Science & Technology, Inc. (GST), is seeking an individual to work as an Acquisition/Contract Support Specialist to provide support to the government contracting officers with generating reports and providing cost analysis. Previous experience with government acquisition and contract support is required.

This position is located in Lanham, MD, but is approved for a hybrid model of onsite and telework.


Position Summary:

  • Analyze, and evaluate procurement programs to manage the contractual aspects of acquisitions for highly complex systems.
  • Provide advice & status of contracts to keep management up to date.
  • Track data using government utilities.
  • Prepare and respond to actions, reports, and presentations for colleagues and upper management as requested.
  • Work independently with minimal guidance. Possess expertise in government/NOAA Acquisition and Budget processes.

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

BS in a related field, plus 4+ years of relevant experience

  • Requires an expert knowledge of acquisition statutes and regulations, contracting methods, policies, procedures, and contract types, pre- and post-award procurement actions.
  • Must have a broad knowledge of contract types
  • Familiarity with the use of IT tools to accomplish work efficiently
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong organizational skills.
