Procurement Specialist

Shuvel Digital is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to support our procurement activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement processes and procedures, with experience in a Government Contractor environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire lifecycle procurement process, including developing RFPs and soliciting cost and technical proposals.
- Evaluate vendor bids and negotiate terms and conditions.
- Issue agreements and process procurement transactions in SSAI's procurement system and CostPoint.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures, Federal Acquisition Regulations, Public Laws, and other supplemental regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and 2 years of professional relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of procurement processes and procedures in a Government Contractor environment.
- Willingness to learn Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) requirements and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
- Familiarity with Representations & Certifications, debarment list.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in purchasing in support of NASA programs.
- Prior experience using Deltek Costpoint, preferred but not required.
- Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) certificate or similar certificate, preferred.
- Active membership in a professional organization related to the procurement field, preferred.
