Job Summary:

Shuvel Digital is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to support our procurement activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement processes and procedures, with experience in a Government Contractor environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle procurement process, including developing RFPs and soliciting cost and technical proposals.
  • Evaluate vendor bids and negotiate terms and conditions.
  • Issue agreements and process procurement transactions in SSAI's procurement system and CostPoint.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures, Federal Acquisition Regulations, Public Laws, and other supplemental regulations.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of professional relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and procedures in a Government Contractor environment.
  • Willingness to learn Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) requirements and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
  • Familiarity with Representations & Certifications, debarment list.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working in purchasing in support of NASA programs.
  • Prior experience using Deltek Costpoint, preferred but not required.
  • Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) certificate or similar certificate, preferred.
  • Active membership in a professional organization related to the procurement field, preferred.
