Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance Coordinator to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and comply with all relevant regulations. Your role will involve analyzing quality systems, conducting inspections and audits, and implementing quality management processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Upload TIPs (Technical Information Packages) into Trac:
  • Ensure timely upload of TIPs for all jobs into Trac system.
  • Upload TIPs generated from RCCs (Requests for Change Control) and Growth Work into TRAC for each new job.
  • Maintain Updated Tip Sheet:
  • Weekly update and provide Tip Sheet to Production via email.
  • Upload updated Tip Sheet into Master TIP List.
  • Filter Tip Sheets:
  • Filter all Tip Sheets provided for "Paige FC" TIPs only.
  • Fill-Out Job Tracker:
  • Populate Job Tracker with milestone dates and Surface Preparation (SSPC) requirements.
  • Clear TIPs Daily:
  • Clear TIPs as accomplished daily with customers.
  • Sanity Check TIP Sheets:
  • Review TIP Sheets for unnecessary TIPs; delete and scrub them as required.
  • Create Job Packet (CIS):
  • Compile Job Packet with supporting OQE (Objective Quality Evidence) for all CIS (Commercial Industrial Services) Jobs for closeout.
  • Provide Job Packet to QA Inspector for drop-off to CIS Team.
  • Upload OQE into Trac:
  • Upload all OQE into Trac under each job and correct work item.
  • Review Specifications and Job Requirements:
  • Review specifications and job requirements, including SSPC (Surface Prep) requirements.
  • Monitor New TIPs:
  • Monitor new TIPs downloaded from Growth Work and RCCs and upload them into respective jobs in TRAC.
  • Training and Certification:
  • Train new hires/employees on QA requirements, including Quality Procedures, SSPC Requirements, and NAVSEA Standard Items.
  • Register QA Inspectors for NAVSEA Basic Paint Inspector (NBPI) Course/Test for NBPI Certification.
  • SSPC Compliance:
  • Notify SSPC per job through SSPC website as a requirement for job notification.
  • Regularly review SSPC Paint Manual for monthly updates.
  • Checkpoint Management:
  • Cancel checkpoints communicated from QA Inspector on-site when notified as not satisfactory or ready for inspection.
  • Call out checkpoints with customers as requested from the Production Team.
  • Ensure QA Inspector is notified and aware of all call-outs for checkpoints/inspections.
  • Ensure each checkpoint is accomplished before proceeding with the next checkpoint.
  • Make sure all OQE was accomplished prior to calling out Final IG/VG.
  • Audits and Reporting:
  • Accomplish external/internal audits.
  • Update "Daily Checkpoint Status Log" in QA Drive.
  • Input time for QA department into Trac daily.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
  • Communicate with Production Department (Manager/Supervisor) regarding the status and outcome of checkpoints/inspections.
  • Monitor Condition Found Reports (CFR) log and communicate with Production Department for changes in job requirements.

16.Process Improvement:

  • Implement process improvements for the Quality Department
  • Employee Development and Compliance:
  • Develop QA Inspectors through training and mentoring.
  • Generate CAR's (Corrective Action Reports) to responsible parties for unsatisfactory and failed checkpoints/inspections.
  • TIPs and CFR Management:
  • Clear TIPs if requirements change from answered CFRs.
  • Monitor CFR log and communicate with Production Department for changes in job requirements.
  • Qualified Inspectors List:
  • Update Qualified Inspectors List quarterly.
  • OQE Organization and Storage:
  • Organize, file, and store all OQE into binders/folders electronically or hard copies for OQE evidence for up to 5 years.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Trac or similar project management software.
  • Familiarity with SSPC and NAVSEA standards preferred.
  • Prior experience in quality assurance in a manufacturing or construction environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
