Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Private Credit Portfolio Management Associate. In this role, you will work closely with senior portfolio managers to analyze, monitor, and optimize private credit investments. You will be responsible for conducting thorough due diligence on potential investments, assisting in the structuring of transactions, and monitoring the performance of existing investments. Additionally, you will play a key role in preparing investment memos, conducting market research, and generating investment ideas to enhance portfolio returns.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence on potential private credit investments, including financial analysis, industry research, and risk assessment.
- Assist in the structuring and negotiation of investment transactions, including terms and conditions.
- Monitor the performance of existing investments, including tracking financial performance, covenant compliance, and other key metrics.
- Prepare investment memos and presentations for senior management and investment committees.
- Conduct market research and stay abreast of industry trends to identify investment opportunities and risks.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including legal, compliance, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of investment transactions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of portfolio management strategies to optimize risk-adjusted returns.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field. Master's degree or CFA designation preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in private credit, investment banking, or a related field.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and other financial software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of private credit markets, including leveraged finance, direct lending, and mezzanine debt.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
