Account Executive Role

 

Engageware is seeking a seasoned Account Executive to join our U.S. Sales team in the customer engagement SaaS market. As a leading provider of innovative, AI-powered software solutions, our products are leveraged by over 700 companies worldwide. The successful candidate will be an experienced Account Executive with a strong track record in SaaS sales, having consistently met or exceeded a $1M annual quota. This is an individual contributor role, responsible for creating, developing and closing new logo sales as well as expansion sales with existing customers.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation and Account Expansion: Develop a strong sales pipeline through diverse prospecting methods, including cold calling, email campaigns, networking, and social media engagement. Nurture and expand existing accounts, interacting with VP and C-level executives to identify new business opportunities.
  • Client Engagement and Sales Execution: Perform deep discovery and deliver tailored demonstrations and presentations. Utilize your strong negotiation and presentation skills to close deals and surpass sales quotas.
  • Account Management: Ensure customer retention and growth by managing executive level relationships and increase ARR through strategic upselling and cross-selling.
  • Collaborative Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, product, and customer success to refine sales strategies based on market trends, competitor analysis and customer feedback.
  • Reporting: Provide weekly updates to the management team on sales activities, pipeline, and forecasted outcomes, ensuring alignment of resources with business opportunities.

 

Support Structure:

You will be supported by our Solutions Architect and Customer Success teams, along with a robust marketing department, to ensure you have the necessary resources to succeed.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an individual contributor in enterprise SaaS sales, with a consistent record of achieving $1M+ annual sales quotas.
  • Proven ability in new business development and strategic account management.
  • Excellent discovery skills and capable of creating and presenting clear, persuasive presentations and ROI.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to thrive in a team selling environment.
  • Highly self-sufficient, driven, and goal-oriented.
  • Coachable, competitive and strategic.
  • Experience in financial services sales (banks, credit unions, wealth management) is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in the use of sales and marketing tools such as Salesforce CRM, SalesLoft, and HubSpot.
  • Remote and in-person selling is required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA is preferred.
