Position Summary

The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing and controlling financial operations. The Accounting Manager provides tax, insurance and other reports required by governmental regulations as well as reviews, analyzes, and interprets financial and budgetary reports. Additional activities include directing all aspects of accounting operations and the preparation of annual financial forecasts as well as, overseeing the development of financial accounting systems required to maintain reporting requirements. The Accounting Manager is able to streamline budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting processes and produce thorough financial-status reports for senior management to help improve the operational efficiency and aid in our continued growth.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establishing and maintaining the Company’s financial policies and procedures by providing operational administrative direction to the accounting, budgeting, tax and insurance functions.
  • Maintaining the company’s financial structure and coordinating the Company’s relationships and covenants with financial institutions, suppliers, and government agencies.
  • Managing all accounting functions including, but not limited to: General Ledger, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Billing.
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and analyzing the financial results.
  • Reviewing working capital on a regular basis and monitor the company’s cash flow.
  • Overseeing and coordinating the financial planning, forecasting and budgeting process.
  • Directing and coordinating the Company’s annual year-end audit with the independent auditors.
  • Managing the Company’s business insurance policies.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field
  • 3+ years proven accounting experience
  • Professional accounting certification, including CMA, CGA, or CA
  • Working knowledge of finance law and regulatory standards (GAAP)
  • Strong understanding of economic and banking processes
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience as a senior-level accounting or finance manager
  • Strong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysis
  • Proven payroll experience, with a focus on streamlining accounting processes
  • Exemplary history of financial project management
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations and reporting
  • CPA highly preferred
