Inside Sales Representative Job Duties:
Our salespeople are empowered to make key decisions impacting sales for customers in their assigned territory.
• Selling to existing & new Central Oil customers in assigned territory
• Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends; identifying sales opportunities.
• Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing product, vendor & technical information and explanations; preparing quotations & bids.
• Closes new accounts by outbound marketing & inbound telephone, fax, and e-mail
inquiries.
• Completing orders by processing orders to operations; communicating expected delivery date; explaining out of stock.
• Develops accounts by checking customer's buying history; suggesting related and new items; explaining technical features, enrolling & explaining vendor promotions.
• Maintains and improves quality results by following standards; cross-referencing products.
• Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions; participating in webinar & vendor educational opportunities.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Creating and executing a territory sales plan that meets or exceeds stated revenue and profit targets.
• Help optimizing call routes to maximize delivery time and overall efficiency.
• Regularly making contact with customers in sales territory to understand their evolving industry trends/ project needs.
• Educating customers on COS products, services, equipment
• Identifying and pursuing new customer opportunities in assigned territory.
• Building long-term, productive, and mutually beneficial relationships with new & existing customers.
• Being regularly available and responsive to customers' real-time needs.
• Identifying and executing local marketing activities to enhance local presence and grow sales.
