Job Description

Payment Products Development is at the heart of making Visa the best way to pay and be paid for everyone, everywhere. We are a globally distributed division of over 2,000 staff within Visa’s Technology organization. We partner with the business to design, build and support the global payment processing systems that drive Visa. As the trusted experts behind VisaNet, the dynamic payments network that connects consumers and merchants with financial institutions, we drive innovation for today and the future.

This position will play a critical role working with cross functional stakeholders in Technology, Product and Client Services to successfully implement large scale software releases that affect the entire payments ecosystem. The candidate will be a technology leader with substantial experience in program and project management of large-scale implementations and demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally and drive solutions that streamline processes and systems.

Essential Functions:

Closely partner with teams in Technology, Product and Client Services to drive successful release implementation. Contribute thought leadership and best practices to enhancing the business release program management process for the benefit of the business.  Lead efforts related to use of new technology tools, process improvements and efficiencies, creation of dashboards. Actively participate in planning Command Centers to support the Business Enhancement Release implementation.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • 10+ years of proven experience managing technically complex projects and programs.
  • Solid understanding of project and program management methodologies and best practices, especially as they relate to large scale software implementations.
  • Extensive understanding of payments processing industry and Visa systems and services.
  • Highly effective interpersonal and leadership skills with an ability to partner with the senior leadership team and stakeholders across Technology, Product and Client Services organizations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to think strategically.
  • Strong Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills, Jira/Jira Align.


Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 147,400.00 to 213,800.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
