The base salary range for this role is $80,000 to $100,000. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate’s experience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.

Earnings potential, based on commissions, can total upwards of an additional 200k.

Location: Central Region (MN, WI, IA, IL, IN, MI, MO, OH)

Job Summary:

As a Regional Director primary responsibility will be supporting and driving sales through Retirement Specialist Advisors/Consultants and Recordkeepers in your territory. You will work daily to help supply valuable market and retirement insights, and fiduciary administration solutions to retirement specialist advisors and their firms. In your role you will be an important part of the Pentegra distribution team and will manage driving revenue and growing market share.

The Regional Director will handle identifying opportunities, developing new business, hitting key revenue targets, and serving as the primary problem solver for complex issues. They will also oversee creating and implementing an effective business plan that leverages Pentegra resources to meet the needs of our partners. The Regional Director will be based in the geographical territory in which they cover and have an established network with specialist retirement producers and key platform partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Finds new sales opportunities and builds and deepens relationships with key prospects, including advisors, consultants and recordkeeping wholesalers.
  • Manages all aspects of the sales cycle including, but not limited to, development and execution of the proposal; deciding sales strategy; developing presentations and orchestrating all of the internal lines of business and resources.
  • Works closely with clients and their advisers/wholesalers to define client goals, address concerns and plan a coordinated sales approach.
  • Actively develops relationships with intermediaries in segments and manages sales pipeline.
  • Builds effective working relationships with internal partners, working groups and other internal distribution channels.
  • Leverages sales support resources to develop RFP and coordinate activities throughout the sales process.

  • Maintain CRM database with correct and up-to-date sales activity and sales pipeline.
  • Ability to travel

Requirements

  • 5-10 years plus of field sales experience, working thru intermediaries within Financial Services Industry highly preferred
  • Experience within the institutional retirement market, ideally with recordkeeping, fiduciary administration or DCIO sales.
  • Demonstrated long-term productive relationships with top retirement advisors and consultants.
  • Excellent oral, written, and one-on-one and group presentation skills that translate into a positive client experience.
  • Enhanced problem solving and analytical abilities, informed and conversant across a broad range of current and emerging topics in the institutional retirement market and ERISA regulation.
  • High ability to learn new things quickly and adapt to new situations
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • Significant In depth understanding of the ERISA plan marketplace.
