Job DescriptionJob Description

1st shift and temp to hire for the right candidate. The pay is $24-$26.50 per hour DOE.

Independently sets up, nests and operates Punch Machine (Amada, Trumpf, Salvagnini, or similar type). Responsible for producing good quality parts using the least amount of material possible, while maximizing machine run time and productivity. Operates machines to produce considerably complex parts, including setting-up, operating, and programming.  Responsible for meeting safety, quality and productivity expectations.

Under minimal supervision, sets up machines to engineering specifications and prepares them for production. 
Inspects and maintain equipment for compliance with safety requirements.  Corrects any safety issues prior to releasing the machine to an operator.
Repairs and maintains tooling and fixtures used in the production equipment by replacing component parts and making minor adjustments.  Stores tooling and fixtures in a safe and orderly fashion.  Refers major repairs and machine work to the Maintenance Department.
Monitors quality of parts produced and resolves quality and mechanical problems, making minor repairs and equipment adjustments as needed.
Works from blueprints, engineering specifications and production schedules.
May operate forklift, as related to machine set up activities. 
Assists and trains operators as needed.
Technical Competencies:

High school or equivalent education preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience
Ability to read and understand blueprints and engineering specifications.
·Capable of using measuring devices as required for product inspection.

Available and willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as production demand dictates.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
Frequent standing, walking, carrying, stooping, and crouching
Lift 40 lbs.
