This position is responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional.  Skyline Products needs someone who is reliable, with a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge, and possess manual dexterity and physical stamina. 

Responsibilities

  • Perform minor fixes such as replacing light bulbs, basic plumbing, tool repair
  • Do garden/yard upkeep by mowing lawn/ Grounds maintenance
  • Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm)
  • Report to the facilities manager for issues
  • Complies with all company safety regulations
  • Responds to repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion
  • Loads and unloads equipment and tools into work vehicles if needed
  • Follows written and verbal instructions from the maintenance manager or clients
  • Reads and follows manuals, blueprints, and other written instructions
  • Uses equipment, including power tools, hand tools, electric tools, and plumbing tools.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a maintenance worker, or other similar position
  • Experience using hand and power tools
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical stamina and dexterity
  • Handles the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting at least 50 pounds.
  • Must have a driver’s license and a good driving record
