MELE Associates maintains a contract with the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Office of Infrastructure (NA-90), which works to maintain, operate, and modernize NNSA infrastructure to enable program results. NNSA’s infrastructure protects global security through unique capabilities found nowhere else in the United States. These capabilities are threatened by deteriorating facilities built during the Manhattan Project and Cold War eras. MELE requires a Management Analyst position to support the Office of Infrastructure Lifecycle Management (NA-91) front office management operations. The position is full-time remote work.

The Management Analyst will support NA-91 leadership officials with a variety of organization management functions and will work to assess organizational processes and define opportunities for improvement. The candidate will collaborate closely with NA-91’s senior leaders, NA-90’s Office of the Chief of Staff, and subject matter experts.

The Management Analyst position requires a dedicated individual with strong initiative and creativity and a strong interest in government affairs with some background or experience in organizational analysis/support, program management, or human resources management support. Prior experience working at another executive branch agency/department, on Capitol Hill, at a non-governmental organization (NGO), or at NNSA is a plus.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and implement actions status tracking system to track all actions, assignments, and due dates for key tasks including reports, briefings, and other products and actions
  • Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts to complete actions including reports, briefings, correspondence (in NNSA E-Docs system), Government Accountability Office (GAO) and Inspector General (IG) report review and inputs, and Directives
  • Support the development of Stakeholder Management to enhance stakeholder integration and planning
  • Support the development of external communications plans, strategies, and products and coordination of multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and coordinate program briefings
  • Prepare and track office organizational and personnel actions (recruitments, awards, details, and reassignments)
  • Assist with increasing the integration, communication, and transparency of a $2 billion per year program
  • Conduct research on government policies, orders, and legislation
  • Develop standard operating procedures
  • Assess, recommend, and help implement organizational process improvements
  • Participate in leadership and staff meetings to facilitate integration, communication, and follow-through including follow-up actions tracking and meeting summaries
  • Coordinate major office events including enterprise-wide meetings for 100+ people
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned (i.e., weekly progress reports, scheduling, news articles, etc.)

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a major or specialization in a related field
  • Prior experience supporting organization operations for government programs
  • Background or experience in organizational analysis/support, program management, or human resources management support
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Customer service oriented, hardworking and shows initiative.
  • Outstanding team player able to work with a diverse group of people stationed in different geographic locations
  • Ability to meet short turnaround deadlines in fast paced office environment and is adaptable to changing priorities
  • Knowledge of all Microsoft Office tools and Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting congressional or federal government programs
  • Prior experience working on Capitol Hill, with an executive branch agency, or non-governmental organization (NGO)
  • Master’s degree in political science, economics, history, or related field
  • Familiarity with the NNSA Management and Operations (M&O) model

Location: 

  • Washington, DC; hybrid position with in-office time and substantial remote work

Salary:

  • Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and the candidate’s related knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
