Our client, a well-established Law Firm in Detroit, Michigan, is hiring a Litigation Legal Assistant. In this role the Litigation Legal Assistant will assist attorneys and paralegals in all facets of litigation including the discovery process, document collection and preservation, document review, document production, and maintaining the electronic case file.

This is a Direct Hire opportunity.

The salary for the Litigation Legal Assistant is $65,000 plus a generous benefit package and plenty of perks. The schedule is Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a 1-hour lunch.

Litigation Legal Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Draft correspondence and prepare legal documents
  • Format briefs, pleadings, and other documents
  • File legal documents
  • Open and manage legal files
  • Maintain attorney calendar
  • Input attorney expenses
  • Other duties as assigned

Litigation Legal Assistant Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years litigation experience; Asbestos is a plus
  • Experience with federal and state court filings
  • Excellent proofreading, grammar and editing skills
  • Resourceful and a problem solver
