We are looking to hire a candidate who will be 100% field-based marketing to Macomb or Oakland County area. If you have a clinical background and are familiar with medical terminology, this is a great advantage

The primary role of the Home Health and Hospice Marketing Representative is implementing and managing the company’s sales and marketing effort under general supervision and utilizing significant independent judgment. The marketing representative will serve as an advisor to referral sources and potential referral sources, utilizing the resources and services available through Custom Home Health to meet their individual needs and resolve any issues that affect the utilization of our services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Present the service line(s) to all accounts in territory individually, develop and maintain existing accounts and perform lead prospecting activities.
  • Participate in professional and community events as well as marketing meetings.
  • Meet and/or exceed the marketing quota expectations; utilize cost-effective means to achieving ultimate marketing goals.
  • Conduct initial and ongoing needs assessment (market research) to determine the needs of our contacts and referral sources.
  • Meet with patients, families, and referral sources to verbalize how Medicare/Hospice benefit works.
  • Under the direction of the Strategic Planning Director, create promotional and informational materials; disseminate information about services; present to community professional groups.
  • Maintain database records and files for all marketing contacts.
  • Make recommendations for improving marketing efforts and effectiveness; encourage and participate in co-marketing activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of marketing strategies, processes and media and marketing techniques Skills with database management, interpersonal skills, and ability to create strong working relationships.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and support of hospice Medicare benefit.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of long-term care industry.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Michigan Driver’s License, maintain automobile insurance coverage and have access to a reliable automobile.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales and Marketing, Health Services Administration, Communications or Business Administration.
  • Three years of Health services administration/experience preferred.
  • Minimum of two years Sales and Marketing experience preferred.
