Food Expeditor

The Expeditor will be the connection between the BOH and FOH, serving as a main point of contact between the kitchen and the floor. It will be crucial to ensure smooth communication throughout our high volume and fast paced service. The position will be part time in the beginning and will possibly lead to a full time position.
Responsibilites:
- Maintain accurate timing for dish executing
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of menu items/food bible
- Manage all orders as they are received through the POS and communicate clearly and respectfully to the kitchen, including any special order requests
- Ensure appearance and quality check for all the dishes prior to leaving the pass/expo station
- Communicate 86s, menu/ingredient changes, and/or other food related information to the FOH team
- Understand, execute and communicate food safety and allergies protocols to the BOH team
- Maintain strong, open and effective communication with BOH team and FOH team
- Stock and prepare service related items
- Maintain cleanliness and setup of work station
- Demonstrate safe and proper use of all kitchen equipment as needed
- Adhere to grooming and dress code standards and policy
- FIFO Knowledge
Qualifications:
- Experience in the restaurant/hospitality industry
- Strong leadership qualities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Schedule Flexibility (esp. weekends)
