We're Mountains Edge, an established construction & hardscaping service business based in Northern Michigan Right now, we are actively seeking out a seasoned, dedicated, and energetic “Construction Sales Representative” to assist us with the continuous growth within our team and book of business

As a Construction Sales Representative at Mountains Edge, you will play a truly important role in executing various building services for our diverse clientele.

Who we are:

Mountains Edge is currently meeting the needs of clients through offering specific building services. We are quickly growing into serving the needs of second home and cottage owners, people transitioning between homes, and homeowners who desire outdoor renovation Our specialties are primarily in hardscaping, fencing, retaining walls, patios, decks, and light duty excavation. We work with a lot of timber, block, stone, and boulder retaining walls. We also do the landscaping, grading, and land prep from start to finish with our projects

Responsibilities:

  • Combine industry knowledge with sales strategies to effectively target and engage clients.
  • Utilize customer service skills to manage client accounts and build lasting relationships.
  • Apply negotiation skills to provide expert advice and close deals on landscaping projects.
  • Own the development of our sales and client relationships
  • Can estimate landscape, retaining wall, fencing, patio, deck, and light duty excavation work needs.
  • Can work with the site foreman to ensure client's needs are met before, during, and after sale - above their expectation.
  • Can identify the true need of the client by fostering a deeper relationship that gets to the heart of their needs.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of prior and recent sales experience is a must
  • In-depth understanding of construction materials and techniques.
  • Familiarity with landscaping and outdoor construction projects.
  • Knowledge of market trends and customer preferences.
  • Prior experience in and of at least some of the following: landscaping, excavation, construction, site prep.
  • Must reside in the Big Rapids, MI or Grand Rapids, MI area.
  • Position is remote with travel to clients.
