Job Title: Assistant Dog Trainer

Location: Fresno, CA

Shift: Monday-Friday.  10:15pm-6:15pm
           Sundays (Occasionally): 10:45am-1:15pm

Potential Start Date: Aug. 26

Job Summary:

Who wouldn’t want to spend the day with dogs and puppies? We are looking for a passionate and reliable person to join our team in Fresno, CA. The ideal candidate must have good customer service, be reliable, and genuinely love dogs. In this role, you will assist with training our Day Training dogs and assist in puppy classes on occasional Sundays.

Day-to-day Requirements:

  • Assist with training dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments
  • Interacting with clients in a professional manner
  • Assist with facilitating playgroups
  • Potty dogs and cleaning up accidents

Qualifications:

  • No dog training experience is necessary we are willing to teach you as long as you’re willing to learn.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to handle working with dogs weighing up to 150 lbs.
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks including walking, lifting dogs, and handling.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be willing to work with others as a team.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

Working Conditions:

  • Environment: Work in various environments, including Ryker’s indoor training facilities and in public outdoor settings.
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday from 10:15am-6:15pm and occasionally Sundays from 10:45am-1:15pm

Compensation:

  • $16/hr (40 hours/week)
