Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Machine Tool Engineer to join our team. This role is essential in managing the building of machine tools and supporting our sales organization through application engineering, estimating, project management, creating layout drawings and generating quotations. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Tool Building: Oversee the design, development, and assembly of machine tools, ensuring adherence to quality standards and project timelines.
  • Application Engineering: Provide technical expertise and support to the sales team, understanding customer requirements and offering solutions that meet their needs.
  • Estimating: Prepare detailed cost estimates for machine tool projects, considering materials, labor, and other relevant factors.
  • Project Management: Manage projects from inception to completion, coordinating with various departments to ensure timely and successful delivery.
  • Layout Drawings: Create detailed layout drawings for machine tools and related systems, utilizing CAD software.
  • Quotations: Generate accurate and competitive quotations for machine tool projects, working closely with the sales team to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Customer Support: Provide ongoing technical support and assistance to customers, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field will be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in machine tool engineering or a related industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and machine tool technology.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies is a plus.
