Medical Scheduler

Job description
We are looking for a highly motivated, bilingual medical scheduler for a busy pain management clinic. You would be responsible for performing a variety of duties involved with maintaining patient medical records, scheduling procedures, assisting with medication management answering phones, registering patients, etc. Successful candidate will be high energy, detail oriented, organized, able to multitask efficiently, and flexible. Must speak Spanish and be familiar with eClinical Works.
MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- High school graduation or recognized equivalent.
- 1.5 years experience.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medications, and e -clinical works.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) speaking required.
Daily responsibilities can include:
- Provide provider support.
- Schedule procedures and appointments.
- Prescription refills.
- Greet and assist patients and visitors, answer phones.
- Register patients according to practice policies.
- Comply with all HIPAA guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized exam rooms and supply area.
- Insurance verification and scheduling.
- Assist with Physical Therapy room as needed.
- May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
We ask that our Medical Assistants have the following:
- Education: High School diploma or GED equivalency.
- Customer service experience in a healthcare environment – 1 year preferred.
- Hours vary M-F, 745am -430pm.
- Excellent telephone skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Friendly and professional demeanor.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Demonstrate proficiency with eClinical works.
- Bilingual Spanish/ English
- Job requires employee to drive to Greenville office once a week. Additional compensation is offered for this.
