PLC -Maintenance Technician

OVERVIEW:

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Detroit, MI.

Shift: Days and Afternoon shits are available

Earning potential: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour + applicable overtime compensation

We are looking for the right individual to fit into our maintenance team.

As a PLC Maintenance Technician you must be a reliable self-starter, capable working independently or as a team member.

This PLC Maintenance Technician position emphasis safety, quality of work and the ability to complete all tasks in a timely fashion.

  • Ideal Candidate must have Some specific tasks include:
  • 2 Plus years of PLC maintenance experience
  • Skills to properly align a motor, pump and coupling.
  • Troubleshoot 120 volt circuits.
  • Proper rigging of items under 2,000 lbs.
  • Disconnect, replace and rewire a 480 volt 3 phase motor.
  • Working knowledgeable of PLC’s, programming a plus.
  • Troubleshooting flow, pressure and temperature transmitters. Weld stainless and carbon steel pipe and flat plate.
  • A code stamp is not required.
  • Working knowledge of production equipment extremely helpful.

The PLC Maintenance Technician Candidate must:

  • Able to perform all physical demands associated with Maintenance work.
  • Work overtime and off shift hours or on call as requested.
  • Put safety first and comply with all company safety standards.
  • Be reliable, on-time and ready to work each workday.
  • Be able to work in a variety of environments including but not limited to: Heights, Cold, Extreme Heat, Confined Spaces, etc.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal hands-on coaching and direction.
  • Must be able to function as a team player within the Company’s structure. T
  • hey need to be a self starter who can handle changing priorities.
  • They need to understand the value of fixing things right the first time.
  • They need to be willing to mentor less experienced maintenance personnel.
  • Complete Preventative Maintenance and associated paperwork as required.
  • Fill work orders as they are released. Maintain a clean and orderly workplace.
