Lexington Toyota is looking for a highly qualified individual to take on the role of Service Department Manager. This is a critical position that involves overseeing a busy service department, managing a team of 5 service advisors and 14 technicians, and ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the service department.

Here are some key responsibilities and qualifications that might be relevant for this position:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Management:

· Supervise and lead a team of 5 service advisors and 14 technicians.

· Provide guidance, support, and training to ensure high levels of performance and customer satisfaction.

· Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.

2. Operational Efficiency:

· Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the service department.

· Implement and optimize processes to enhance productivity and customer service.

· Monitor and manage work schedules to meet service demands.

3. Customer Service:

· Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

· Address customer concerns and issues promptly and effectively.

· Implement strategies to enhance the overall customer experience.

· Work closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective parts procurement.

· Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the department's performance.

· Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

1. Automotive Industry Experience:

· Knowledgeable in CDK computer systems

2. Leadership Skills:

· Proven leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

3. Technical Knowledge:

· Technical understanding of automotive systems and repair processes.

4. Communication Skills:

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with the team and customers.

5. Customer Focus:

· A customer-centric approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

6. Problem-Solving Abilities:

· Effective problem-solving skills to address challenges that may arise in the service department.

7. Organizational Skills:

· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage various aspects of the service department simultaneously.

8. Team Player:

· Ability to collaborate with other departments and work as part of a larger team within the dealership.

9. Adaptability:

· Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
