Job Overview: Universal Timber Structures, a company in the prefabricated wood building sector, is seeking a motivated Inside Sales Representative to join our team. This role is pivotal in maintaining and expanding our customer base, ensuring excellent customer service, and acting as the subject matter expert for our product lines and services. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, a team player, and committed to customer satisfaction through quality work and timely order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key customer contact and resource for our business.
- Maintain and grow existing customer base through prospecting, sales account development, quoting, and customer follow-up.
- Source special order items for contractors.
- Visit customer sites to review specifications for ground preparation and other requirements for building installation.
- Collaborate with construction managers and facilities managers to read blueprints and prepare specifications for building sets.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in sales and estimating, with at least 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in using AutoCAD.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a goal-driven attitude.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
Experience/Education Required/Desired:
- BS/BA/BBA degree or equivalent years of experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in the construction industry.
- Previous experience in a customer-focused or team-based environment.
- Prior experience in construction or related industries is preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License.
