About the position…

We are looking for an experienced Tool Maker/Maintenance Technician to join our team at our base of operations in Bloomington, IN. This is an on-site, full-time, day-shift position. (Relocation services will not be provided for this position.)

 

Responsibilities:

  •  Work with lead engineers on the design, development, testing, and manufacturing of machines and other devices
  • Suggest design changes, test modifications, and/or recommend improvements in design, production methods, or materials
  • Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, modify, and suggest application of standard or non-standard techniques
  • Plan, produce, and assemble new or changed mechanical parts for products
  • Produce, modify, and repair tools used in manufacturing processes
  • Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other equipment to cut, shape, and grind materials
  • Construct test equipment and working models
  • Operate validation equipment
  • Install, adjust, and troubleshoot equipment throughout all production facilities
  • Maintain and repair equipment as needed
  • Other duties/tasks as assigned

 

Job Requirements:

  • Highschool diploma or GED – Required
  • Mathematical and mechanical aptitude – Required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a tool/die maker
  • Ability to maneuver in, around, under, and about factory equipment on a regular basis
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and squat for extended periods of time
  • Ability to serve as a functional expert
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work well on a team
  • Critical thinking and problem solving
  • Strong communication and time management
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Microsoft Office Suite

 

Compensation & Benefits:

A competitive base salary will be commensurate with experience and level of education/certification.
