Position Summary

Headquartered in Georgetown, Texas, Cangshan Cutlery’s mission is to create beautiful and functional kitchen knives with premium materials crafted by experts. Cangshan is part of a family of companies that includes New Star Foodservice, Austin Cutlery & Tool, and Everware International. The Staff Accountant will maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Responsibilities

The requirements listed below are representative of the essential duties and responsibilities required.

  • Maintain financial data, records, and generate reports.
  • Perform account reconciliations and bank settlements.
  • Process AP and AR and generate reports based on key performance indicators.
  • Support period close processes, financial review, and audit activities.
  • Assist with establishing new accounts regarding financial information.
  • Process and file all sales and use tax reports and payments.
  • Create and post journal entries to the General Ledger as required.
  • Prepare financial and operational reports.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 3+ years of proven experience in accounting, preferably in a corporate setting, specifically dealing with bookkeeping/AR/AP and account reconciliation.
  • 3+ years of experience with Financial Management and/or ERP Software (SAP S/4HANA preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience with GAAP and financial reporting.
