Troy Veterinary Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic Animal Care Giver/ Veterinary Assistant to join our team You will be responsible for the overall care and well-being of the animals at our facility. A positive friendly "can do" attitude and not afraid to get your hands dirty is the person we want We are a full service, high quality, small animal veterinary hospital located in Troy MI. The job position starts at part-time with the opportunity to go full-time in the future and is perfect for high school or college students. Hourly wage is based on experience and starts at $10.25-$14.50.

Responsibilities:
Frequent cleaning, vacuuming and mopping of entire hospital.
Cleaning up feces daily from yard
Handle general care tasks such as feeding, walking and occasional bathing of the animals
Assist in restraining animals for veterinary management
Keep records of animal feedings, treatments, and other updates
General housekeeping and frequent cleaning to maintain a healthy environment
Restocking supplies and filing charts

Qualifications:
Previous experience in animal care or other related fields is helpful but not required
Passion to help and treat animals
Ability to interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening manner
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, self-motivated and able to work independently
Pass criminal background screen and drug test prior to hire
Be able to lift 40 lbs, have own reliable transportation, be able to work weekends and holidays.
Must be 16 yrs old or older.
